The Company

We from Hermenia are a group of students at the ROC of Hengelo.

We are doing a project called: ITO (International trading office). 

Our company has 5 employees. We are all students at Roc van Twente

in Hengelo

 This is a learning company so it is not a real company.

John Nijenhuis - Planner/Administrator

Daan Roubos - Commercial employe/Catalog designer

Gijs Christenhusz - Co-webshop designer/Head of sales department

Tristan Roesink - Webshop designer/Head of marketing department

Rik Ooms - Head of purchase department

History of project

How it all started

Our company was established in the year 1990.The founders of this company are: Mr. Nijenhuis, Mr. Roubos, Mr. Roesink, Mr.Christenhusz and Mr. Ooms. These gentlemenmet each other during a history lesson. Thesemen all had a sincere interest in history. MainlyGreek mythology. Hence, in their name, the Greek god of commerce, Hermes, have engaged.


Over the years they became friends and they found out that they all had a great interest inmulti media. Mr. Roubos and Ooms already worked for a big game chain. They both worked ascompetitor. Mr. Ooms was head of sales at one chain and Mr. Roubos was head of purchasing.

They decided to start their own company.

Here the tale of Hermenia begins


This all started with a small game shop in the heart of Hengelo. Eventually this grew into a big gamechain. Once this became a succes, they had to expand their range into what they are today: a multimedia company.


And now, in 2013, their sons took over the company. Rik Ooms, Daan Roubos, Gijs Christenhusz,Tristan Roesink and John Nijenhuis. And they are planning to take the company to the next level.They always strive for perfection, just like their fathers.
